Megan J. Frantz Oldham has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). She joins Managing Partner, Lee Plakas, who has also been recognized by the ABOTA annually since 2003. This honor requires peer evaluation by judges and attorneys and an examination of performance on trials, to confirm their skills and accomplishments in the art of trial advocacy.
The mission of the American Board of Trial Advocates is to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation. All members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism.
Ms. Frantz Oldham’s practice focuses on litigation, primarily in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, trucking negligence, qui tam / whistleblower, and products liability cases.
Attorney Frantz Oldham has been certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 2020 and is only one of five females in the State of Ohio certified in Civil Trial Advocacy. This certification requires testing and peer review and is only bestowed upon trial attorneys who have been involved in numerous major jury trials and whose special civil trial expertise has been confirmed by judges and opposing attorneys who have been involved in jury trials with Ms. Frantz Oldham, and have observed her trial skills. Managing Partner Lee Plakas is also a certified Civil Trial Advocate.
