Attorney Brooke Meneses has been selected as one of Stark County’s top “Twenty under 40” young professionals for 2023 by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, yStark!, and the Canton Repository.
Nominees were selected based on career acumen, community service and trusteeship, and personal and professional achievements. The Twenty under 40 selection committee includes business and community leaders representing several industry sectors from around Stark County.
As Attorney Kristen Moore who nominated Brooke “Military service is perhaps the pinnacle of a citizen’s service to her community, and Brooke accomplished her service with distinction. Having already sacrificed much for her country, Brooke could have sat back and focused on other pursuits. Instead, she continues to volunteer and serve: mentoring her fellow veterans at the Stark County Honor Court, assisting low-income clients with criminal and civil legal needs throughout law school, and serving the Stark County legal community as a dedicated attorney here at Plakas Mannos. Brooke is tireless in her service.”
Brooke received her undergraduate and master’s degree from Tiffin University with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Criminal Justice in 2011 and 2012, respectively. In 2021, Brooke went on to graduate magna cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law, where she received her juris doctorate. Brooke was admitted to the Ohio Bar in May of 2021.
Brooke continues her legacy of excellence here at Plakas Mannos. The leadership skills she honed while climbing the ranks as a Marine are put to good use when tackling problems faced by our clients. Brooke has proven herself a worthy opponent in her courtroom appearances but is also a patient and skilled negotiator when that approach is better suited for our clients. She has continued her service to veterans as well, spearheading our firms service to veterans, civilians and their families who were exposed to water contamination at Camp Lejeune.
We are thrilled to announce that Attorney Brooke Meneses has been recognized for this award. Since Brooke joined our firm, she has spearheaded our firm’s efforts to assist veterans and their families who have been injured or killed due to water contamination at Camp Lejeune, and she has had an integral role in a number of family law and civil litigation cases where she has been able to achieve significant, oftentimes life-changing results for our clients. We congratulate Attorney Brooke Meneses on this amazing achievement!
