CANTON, OHIO: Two Tzangas Plakas Mannos Ltd. partners have been honored for excellence in their practice areas by Best Lawyers®.
James Mannos was named the 2020 Workers’ Compensation Law/Claimants “Lawyer of the Year” in the Akron/Canton/Medina/New Philadelphia/Warren/Youngstown metropolitan region, and David Dingwell was recognized as the region’s 2020 Employment Law/Individuals “Lawyer of the Year.”
A single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as “Lawyer of the Year.” Honorees receive the award based on their extremely high overall feedback within 137 practice areas across 182 metropolitan regions.
Mannos is a partner of the firm practicing in family law, probate and estate planning, workers’ compensation and real estate law. He received a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in 1972 before serving his country in the United States Army. He earned his J.D. from Ohio Northern University in 1977, the same year he began practice.
Dingwell is a partner of the firm focused on the practice areas of litigation, probate and estate planning litigation, and employment litigation. He was previously recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” in employment law/individuals in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2020; employment law/management in 2014; and litigation/labor and employment in 2016 and 2018. Dingwell also serves on the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct and was the board’s chairperson in 2017 and 2018. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and earned his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law, where he was a staff member of the Akron Law Review.
