CANTON OHIO: Plakas Mannos is augmenting its growing domestic relations practice with the addition of two accomplished local attorneys — Peter T. Cahoon and Marietta M. Pavlidis.
Both lawyers bring decades of experience in high-asset, complex family law cases to the Canton- and Akron-based firm, along with a proven track record of delivering impressive results on behalf of their clients.

The attorneys, who both joined Plakas Mannos after serving in various leadership positions at Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, will work alongside the firm’s existing experienced and highly regarded team of domestic relation attorneys — including partners Jim Mannos and Denise Houston.

Cahoon is a litigation attorney with vast expertise in domestic relations and family law. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of Family Law, White Collar Criminal Defense, and Administrative and Regulatory Practice. He is a graduate of New York University and The University of Akron School of Law, where he currently serves as an adjunct professor in Trial Advocacy. He is a past chair of the Family Law Section and a past president of the Akron Bar Association, and has earned awards and honors over his 42-year career, including the Akron Bar Association’s Professionalism Award.
Pavlidis is a litigation attorney with 22 years of experience practicing family law, workers’ compensation and civil litigation. She is listed among The Best Lawyers in America© in the field of Family Law. A graduate of Kent State University and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, she has served as past chair of the Family Law Section and as a Trustee of the Akron Bar Association. She is a graduate of Leadership Akron, Class 29. Pavlidis has also been heavily involved in diversity events and initiatives over the past years. Through her expertise handling complex, high-profile domestic relations matters, she has settled and litigated financial issues in some of the largest divorce cases in Ohio.
