We are thrilled to welcome Tyler Speer to Plakas Mannos as our newest, incoming associate attorney! As of today, Tyler passed the Ohio Bar Exam and will soon be licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio upon being sworn in before the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Tyler is a 2024 graduate of The University of Akron School of Law, summa cum laude, where he graduated first in his class, and where he received the Donald M. and Mary E. Jenkins Award for Highest Scholastic Achievement. While in law school, Tyler was recognized for his written and oral advocacy skills when he represented Akron Law at the New York University Immigration Law Competition in New York City, and was recognized for his legal scholarship when he had an article published in the Akron Law Review, titled Working Through the Danger of the Work-From-Home Model and Workers’ Compensation: Employer Liability for Remote Work Injuries. Further, Tyler gained valuable insight in law school when he externed with the Honorable Judge Dan Aaron Polster for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Since his first summer in law school, Tyler has also worked with Plakas Mannos as a law clerk, where he has assisted our attorneys in several cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, commercial litigation, corporate transactions and regulatory compliance, employment and workers’ compensation, and industrial injuries. Tyler has demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and a thorough approach to complex legal issues and has displayed his readiness to join Plakas Mannos as its newest associate attorney.
